The Ministry of Finance has announced that a budget of ₺382m has been obtained for earthquakes and natural disasters, ₺55m of which has been earmarked for 11 schools and the Champion Angels Monument Tomb Project.

According to the statement from the Ministry of Finance, the ₺382m was collected under Financial Aid and Preparedness for Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters fund.

Accordingly, tax revenues related to earthquakes amounted to ₺306,5m, non-tax revenues related to earthquakes amounted to ₺28,6m, and the earthquake deduction amount collected from land registries was ₺47,1m, making a total of ₺382m as of September 23, 2023.

The funds will be used for the maintenance and repair of the Mustafa Kemal Primary School, the Vadili Primary School, the Ağırdağ Primary School, the Çamlıbel Aysun Primary School, the Kozanköy Mehmet Boransel Primary School, the Gaziköy Kindergarten, the Gülenyüzler Kindergarten, the Ziyamet Special Education Center, the Dr. Fazıl Küçük Industrial Vocational High School, the Karpaz Vocational High School, and the İskele Trade High School as well as for the Champion Angels Monument Tomb Project.
