The 101st anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye will be celebrated in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus alongside Türkiye with ceremonies and events.
Celebrations began on Monday with a televised speech on BRT by the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Yasin Ekrem Serim at 1pm.
A 21-gun salute was fired to mark the occasion.
In line with the 101st anniversary of Türkiye’s Republic Day, ceremonies will be held in all districts throughout the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The first ceremony in the capital Lefkoşa will take place on Tuesday in front of the Lefkoşa Atatürk Monument.
According to the information given by the National Days Celebration Central Committee, the ceremony will start at 9:30am with the placing of wreaths at the monument according to the protocol.
A minutes silence will be observed and the flags will be hoisted to the reciting of the National Anthem.
The Memorial Special Book will be signed by the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa,Yasin Ekrem Serim.
In addition, as part of the October 29 celebrations in the capital, a cortege will be held at Dereboyu at 2:30pm.
Meanwhile, similar ceremonies will also be held throughout the republic to mark the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
