Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yildiz has announced that around 700 people in the Gaza Strip are waiting to be evacuated to Türkiye.

“Of those waiting for evacuation, 322 are citizens of the Republic of Türkiye and 104 are citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. There are 214 Palestinians who are relatives of Turkish citizens and 55 personnel of our institution” said Yıldız.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an announcement for TRNC citizens and their relatives in Israel and Palestine.

“The TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in consultation with the relevant institutions for the safe evacuation of 150 TRNC citizens and their relatives who are residing in the region permanently and/or temporarily and who wish to leave the region due to the ongoing conflicts between Israel and Palestine” said the ministry.

“It is recommended to follow the official web pages and social media accounts of our Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Jerusalem for developments” concluded the ministry’s statement.
