The 3rd Children’s Rights Festival took place in Lefkoşa’s Kızılbaş Park on Sunday, organized by Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality (LTB) and the SOS Children’s Village Association under the theme “I Deserve! I Demand My Rights!”
The festival, which brought together children and families, featured performances by DJ Halil Erhan and his team. Activity zones were set up throughout the park, including an obstacle course, various game and art workshops, and interactive stalls.
Entertainment also included performances by the CBA Basketball and SOS Dance groups, as well as music and dance showcases by the Lefkoşa Municipal Orchestra’s Children’s and Youth Choirs.
A highlight of the event was the reading of the “Letter of My Rights,” followed by remarks from Lefkoşa Mayor Mehmet Harmancı, who praised SOS for its dedication to children’s rights.
Harmancı emphasized the municipality’s commitment to supporting children’s rights in collaboration with SOS, noting that teaching children and their families about these rights contributes to raising a better-informed generation.
The festival concluded with the presentation of certificates to contributors who made the event possible.
