The 19th International Bellapais Spring Music Festival has begun.

The 19th International Bellapais Spring Music Festival organized by the Northern Cyprus Music Association kickstarted this year started with a performance from the Lefkoşa Municipal Orchestra.

At Lefkoşa Municipal Orchestra, under the direction of Oskay Hoca, interpreted Mozart’s 40th Symphony and the Turkish Anthem, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony and Moonlight Sonata, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Bizet’s Carmen, Albiniden’s Adagio, Chopin’s Nocturne, and turned popular classical works into pop versions.

The festival, which will last until May 31, will host 11 different concerts.

The concerts of the festival will take place at Bellapais Monastery at 8pm.
