State and government officials have issued messages in memory of the Champion Angels and those who lost their lives during the February 6th Earthquake in Türkiye.
The common voice that emerged from the messages were that those who are responsible for the deaths of the Champion Angels receive the punishment they deserve.
President Ersin Tatar in his message to commemorate the Champion Angels said that the deep wounds inflicted by the disaster of the century still pierce the heart of the nation.
Stating that they will insist on justice in the “Isias Case”, Tatar said, “We have full faith and trust in the Turkish justice on this matter.”
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre in his message noted that a year has passed since the February 6 earthquake in which more than 53 thousand people and the Champion Angels were lost and said “Our biggest expectation is that the criminals who cost the lives of 35 people at the Isias Hotel will receive the punishment they deserve.”
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel issued a message on the anniversary of the February 6 Earthquake Disaster of the Century.
He said “Our pain and our cause are the same”.
The Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu in his message said “the Isias case is the case of all of us, and our struggle will continue until those who caused this tragedy receive the punishment they deserve.”
