The 1^st Kaleburnu Culture and Arts Event, organized by the Erenköy-Karpaz Municipality, was held on Sunday.

Folk dance teams that are on the island within the framework of the 11^th International Folk Dances Peace Festival performed at the festival and a concert by Group Otantik was realized at the festival.

The 1^st Kaleburnu Culture and Arts Event was organized for the first time this year at the Kalaburnu village, which stands out with its excavations on the King’s Hill and its historical and cultural values.

Speaking at the event that was realized at the Kaleburnu Wedding Hall, the Kaleburnu Mukhtar Halil Yeşilbulut thanked those who contributed to the realization of the event and emphasized the importance of organizing culture and arts events in the Karpaz region.

Erenköy-Karpaz Mayor Hamit Bakırcı for his part stated that the event, which was organized for the first time this year, will be held more extensively in the coming years and said that Kalaburnu village is a village that should be visited and promoted for its historical structure and nature.

Meanwhile folk dance teams that are on the island within the framework of the 11^th International Folk Dances Peace Festival organized by the Cyprus Folk Dances and Art Center Association, performed during the event.

The Yenierenköy Culture and Arts Association Children’s Folk Dance Group, the Cyprus Folk Dance Centre as well as folk dance groups from Türkiye’s Bolu and Bursa regions, Lithuania and Macedonia all performed during the event.
