The Entrepreneurial Women’s Development Cooperative is continuing to organize events in order to promote Turkish Cypriot culture.
The Carob Festival was realized on Sunday within the scope of the events organized by the Entrepreneurial Women Development Cooperative to promote Turkish Cypriot culture.
At the festival, which took place at GİKAD Koop İstasyon, the production of products obtained from carob was shown to the public.
Speaking to the BRT the President of the Cyprus Turkish Entrepreneurial Women’s Association (GİKAD), İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, said that they had organized a series of events to keep the Turkish Cypriot culture alive and within the framework of these events the 2nd Carob Festival had been organised.
GİKAD President Kavuklu also underlined that the value of carobs, which is described as black gold, is not sufficiently known in our country.
