The three-day Ramadan Bayram holiday begins tomorrow bringing an end to a month of fasting.
Muslims in the TRNC and other parts of the Islamic world will break their fasts for the last time this evening.
Bayram morning prayers will be held at 6.39 on Friday morning throughout the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
President Ersin Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar will receive well wishers at the presidential palace as of 10.30am.
Both the police and the municipality have announced that they have taken all the necessary precautionary measures to ensure that the public has a safe holiday.
Meanwhile the Meteorology Department has given an outlook on what the weather will be like during the three day bayram holiday.
According to their predictions, rain is expected on the first day of the holiday.
It stated that local showers are expected in places on the first day while the skies will be partly cloudy and fair for the remaining two days.
During the period covering the holiday, the temperature will be around 23 to 26 degrees inland and 19 to 22 degrees on the coast.
Strong winds are expected on Friday.
