The 30th of August Victory Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on Wednesday.

The Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu and the Commander of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Major General Sabahattin Kılınç received well wishers at the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Regimental Command Officers’ Mess in Ortaköy.

The celebratory events in the capital Lefkoşa began with wreath laying ceremonies.

The first ceremony was realized at the Atatürk Monument in Lefkoşa.

Wreaths were laid, a minutes silence took place and the flags were raised to the playing of the national anthem.

The ceremony at the Atatürk Monument came to an end with the signing of the Special Book by President Ersin Tatar, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu and Commander of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Major General Sebahattin Kılınç.
