The 3rd Şirinevler Gonnara Festival was realized on Sunday.
The 3rd Şirinevler Gonnara Festival, organized by the Dikmen Municipality and the Şirinevler Mukhtar’s Office, was realized at the Şirinevler village square.
Those who attended the event were able to shop from stalls that were set up, children were treated to a variety of fun activities and dance performances.
President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also attended the festival.
President Tatar watched the activities at the festival and chatted with people in the region.
Speaking at the festival, Şirinevler Mukhtar Serkan Pilli stated that they are striving for the village to come to a better place and that their aim is to promote the village and the gonnara fruit (jujube fruit), which is a cultural heritage.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated that gonnara is one of the indispensable fruits of the country.
Touching upon the government’s actions Üstel said “The day we came to the government, we made promises to our people and we have kept those promises”.
