There has been an important development in the case of the Isias Hotel, which was the location that turned into a burial plot for our Champion Angels on February 6, 2023 earthquake in Türkiye.

Provincial Administrative Board of Adıyaman Governorate gave permission to investigate 4 public officials.

Making a statement regarding the developments taking place the National Unity Party (UBP) General Secretary, Gazimağusa MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu said that the Provincial Administrative Board of Adıyaman Governorate’s decision to authorize an investigation into 4 public officials in Adıyaman Municipality will play an important role in the decision regarding the case.

Hasipoğlu stated that both Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and the Parliamentary Monitoring Committee will continue to show sensitivity to this case and will take their place in the courtroom on June 12 as always.

The head of the Champion Angels Association Ruşen Karakaya emphasized that they will not stop until all those responsible receive the harshest punishment and said, “We are after everyone who took our loved ones from us.”

The President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association Hasan Esendağlı also pointed out that the issuance of the investigation permit is a very important step in terms of earthquake trials in Türkiye.

The Provincial Administrative Board of Adıyaman Governorate authorized an investigation into 4 public officials of Adıyaman Municipality who were separated from the Isias Hotel case file.

According to the decision, an investigation will be initiated against the 4 surviving members of the Adıyaman Municipality’s License Office Technician, License Office Chief Clerk, Zoning Manager and Deputy Mayors of Adıyaman Municipality who signed the building license for the Isias Hotel.
