500 people die in hospital attack in Gaza, 3 days of national mourning issued

Israel has once again targeted civilians in Gaza, this time a hospital was the target of Israeli bombardment.

The attack killed 500 people, mostly patients, children and women.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry described the attack as a “war crime”, while Hamas said, “This is genocide”.

Three days of mourning has been declared in Palestine.

At least 500 of the thousands of displaced people who were staying in Gaza’s Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in addition to the wounded and sick were killed and thousands more wounded in the Israeli airstrike.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared 3 days of mourning for the casualties of the Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

Deputy Palestinian Minister of Health in Gaza Yousef Abu al-Rish held a press conference and said that this was not the first Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli hospital.

He called on the world countries to stop Israel from targeting civilians.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 3,000 people were killed and 12,500 wounded in Gaza in the Israeli attacks.

The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the attack on the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

In a statement released by the UN Spokesperson’s Office, it was stated that the meeting will take place this afternoon.

It was also stated that Brazil’s draft resolution demanding a “humanitarian pause” in Gaza will be put to a vote in the open-format session.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also reacted harshly to the Israeli forces’ attack on the hospital in Gaza.

Erdoğan said, “Striking a hospital containing women, children and innocent civilians is the latest example of Israel’s attacks devoid of the most basic humanitarian values. I call on all humanity to take action to stop this unprecedented atrocity in Gaza.”
