The sixth hearing of the İsias Hotel case, which buried 72 lives in the earthquake that occurred in Adıyaman on February 6, 2023, is being held today. The verdict is expected to be announced at the end of the sixth hearing, which will last for 2 days at Adıyaman’s 3rd High Criminal Court.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel made a brief statement prior to the hearing and said that he was their not only as a Prime Minister but as a father.
As the sixth hearing of the İsias Hotel case takes place today, families are in Adıyaman waiting for justice to be delivered.
As always, a delegation of approximately 100 people consisting of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, families, politicians, the Bar Association and journalists are present.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel made a statement prior to the beginning of the hearing and said that a great pain was experienced on February 6th and that he had come to the hearing not only as a Prime Minister but also a father.
Üstel said, “As the Prime Minister, I am here to seek the rights and law of my people, and as a father, I am here to seek the rights of the people I consider my family. I hope that justice will be served. We trust the justice of the Republic of Türkiye.”
“All the reports showed that natural disasters can happen, but natural disasters result in frustration and disaster, and that this place, which became a grave for our children, was caused by human error. We want justice to be served in the best way possible. I hope that the judges will listen and punish the guilty with the harshest penalties. Until this case is finalized, we, as the TRNC, will pursue this case as the government and the opposition” said Üstel.
Meanwhile last night, Justice Watch was held at the Iskele Lokum Roundabout to show their support for the fight for justice.
The event, which was organized under the leadership of Iskele District Governorship and Iskele Municipality, was supported by representatives of some political parties, institutions, organizations, associations and the people of the region.
The participants carried torches and banners.
The photos of the Champion Angels who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake were also placed at the Iskele Lokum Roundabout where the Justice Watch was held.
