The 6th Vounous terracotta symposium organized by the Çatalköy Municipality this year is taking place between September 1-16.

Giving information regarding the symposium to the BRT, symposium curator ceramic artist Rauf Ersenal said that 60 artists from 8 countries will be participating in this year’s symposium.

Reminding that the artefacts unearthed in the Vounous historical Settlement in Çatalköy were smuggled abroad, Ersenal said that by making replicas of these works belonging to our country, they enabled the works to come to life again.

This year, artists from countries such as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Türkiye, the United States, Russia, Latvia, Germany and Italy will participate in the 6th Vounous Terracotta Symposium.
