The first minimum wage of 2023 has been set at ₺11,800 net, the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy announced.

The decision was adopted unanimously by the Minimum Wage Commission which convened on Tuesday for a third time.

The new minimum wage which has been set at ₺13,563 gross and ₺11,800 net will be effective as of January 1.

The new wage was announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy following today’s meeting of the Minimum Wage Commission.

Taçoy also said that the government will be providing a 50 per cent subsidy to businesses between five and ten employees.
