President Ersin Tatar has underlined the importance of stability and the existence of the state for young businesspeople to be successful in the country.

Tatar received on Thursday the Board of Directors of the Young Businessmen’s Association and its Chairman Orhan Gavani.

Speaking during the visit, President Ersin Tatar said that the association had been carrying out its activities with success since 1989 and that the country had made huge economic strides since then.

“The key to success is stability, security, justice, health and education, all of which exist in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC),” he said.

On the Cyprus Issue, Tatar said that any settlement to be reached on the island required the continuation of Türkiye’s active and effective guarantees in order to safeguard the security and stability of the island.

He added that a settlement in Cyprus is not possible unless the sovereign equality of the Turkish Cypriot people is recognised.

“Peoples who are not sovereign are doomed to be erased from history. Sovereignty is our sole guarantee,” Tatar said.

The president also praised the cooperation protocols signed with Türkiye, stating that these contributions help boost the TRNC’s economy.
