9 day Ramadan Bayram holiday starts tomorrow

The Ramadan Bayram or Eid al-Fitr holiday, which was extended to nine days with the decision of the Council of Ministers, starts tomorrow.

The Council of Ministers at its meeting on March 26 had announced its decision that public employees would be considered to be on administrative leave for the 1.5 days prior to the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which begins on April 10.

Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9, which coincides with the eve of the feast day, were announced as administrative leave for public employees and the holiday was increased to 9 days with the weekend following the 3-day Ramadan Bayram Holiday.
