The “Winds of Rotary” concert, featuring musicians from various countries, including Cyprus and Germany, will take place on Sunday, July 30th, at the Girne Amphitheatre.

The concert will be held for the benefit of the SOS Children’s Village and the Cyprus Turkish Orthopaedic Disabled Association.

The event is sponsored by Bayrak Radio Television (BRT) and will be broadcast live to the entire world as part of BRT’s 60th-anniversary celebrations.

The “Winds of Rotary” ensemble will feature performances of compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Andrew Webber, and Kamran Aziz.

The concert will be conducted by Turgay Hilmi, Elke Völker, and Jens Lohmüller.

Gözlem Özdeğirmenci, Eser Öktem, Zübeyde Yıldız, and Nice Kabeya will take on the roles of soloists in the concert which will also feature musicians from Kıbrıs Sanat, as well as the Nürnberg Concert Choir and Vox Africa Choir.

The details of the organization were shared with the public during a press conference held at the Girne Municipality.

The opening speech was delivered by the Organizer and Conductor, Artist Turgay Hilmi who said that the Girne concert would be the final concert following two concerts held in Germany.

A former President of the Girne Kozmopolitan Rotary Club Ayten Kani for her part, expressed her happiness in contributing to the realization of the Winds of Rotary Concert.

The Mayor of Girne, Murat Şenkul, stressed that the concert’s recognition and appreciation it deserves will be possible through the participation of art enthusiasts and the interest shown by the public.
