The United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Representative for Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar is expected to arrive on the island tomorrow.

The United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Representative for Cyprus Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar is expected to hold a variety of contacts while she is in Cyprus until Tuesday the 14th of May.

President Ersin Tatar will receive the UN Personal Envoy on Wednesday.

According to information obtained from the Presidency, the meeting at the Presidential Palace will start at noon.

Prior to her visit to Cyprus, Holguin held contacts in Brussels and London and met with senior EU bureaucrats.

Holguin, who was appointed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on January 5 for 6 months to investigate whether there is common ground for a new and official process between the two sides, has carried out 2 visits to Cyprus, one in January and the other in March.

Holguin met with President Tatar on January 30 and March 11.
