Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu attended the 28th Ministerial Council Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Mashhad, Iran.

Speaking at the 28th Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organization of Economic Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu stated that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has been actively supporting and participating in the activities of the Organization since 1992 when it was accepted as an observer member.

He expressed his gratitude to the ECO member states for their participation and support to the 4th Ecotourism Experts Group Meeting held in the TRNC on 25-26 November 2024.

Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu also briefed his interlocutors on the current developments on the Cyprus issue.

During his visit to Mashhad, Minister Ertuğruloğlu also met with the Foreign Ministers and Deputy Foreign Ministers of the ECO member states.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu was accompanied by Third Secretary Mehmet Tuncan during his visit to Mashhad.
