President Ersin Tatar received a delegation from the North Cyprus Young Businessmen Association (GİAD) headed by Yusuf Tekinay.
Speaking during the visit the President said he was pleased to see that members of the association consisted of successful business people and said that despite the current problems, our country has developed in many areas.
Addressing the GİAD delegation, President Ersin Tatar pointed to the importance of an environment of stability in economic development and noted that environment of stability has existed in our country since 1974 and that Motherland Türkiye, as a guarantor country, demands the continuation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’s (TRNC) presence here.
Tatar stated that the Turkish Cypriots are striving to ensure economic prosperity for the youth and to enable future generations to continue their lives in stability and security by maintaining their existence with their sovereignty.
Emphasizing the importance of production and entrepreneurship, President Tatar reminded that Asil Nadir, a Turkish Cypriot businessman who passed away this week, had achieved great success in the UK and worldwide at the age of 23 and said that young Turkish Cypriot business people can achieve significant success.
He stated that global rapprochement also had positive effects on overcoming the embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriots and expressed his belief that the they would reach the prosperity they deserve.
Stating that he believes the TRNC will improve with the steps taken by well-educated and successful young business people, Tatar said, “The main thing is our state. With our national values, in unity and solidarity, we will carry our country to a much better position.”
