President Ersin Tatar issued a message of thanks upon the statements made by Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the friendly and brotherly Prime Minister of Pakistan for his unwavering statement of support for our just cause, which he reiterated with determination once again today” said Tatar.

He added that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement that “Pakistan fully supports the cause of North Cyprus and unhesitatingly stands by Türkiye in this cause” has given strength to the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot People.

President Tatar’s message continued as follows:

“I would like to thank President of Türkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has always stood by the Turkish Cypriot People and demonstrated his support for the TRNC on every occasion, and the President of Pakistan, who honored us once again with his statement today.

I would like to express my gratitude to the friendly and brotherly Government and People of Pakistan under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif.

I believe that our State, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, with the unwavering strength it receives from Motherland Türkiye and the solidarity shown by friendly and brotherly countries, will take its rightful place on this honourable path it has embarked on as soon as possible.”
