Thanks to our veterans, the Turkish Cypriot people are today living freely under the roof of a state.”
Stressing that effort had been made to reach all segments of society in our country through the Cooperation Protocols made with motherland, Türkiye, Üstel added, “We know that our veterans also face some difficulties. We will address these issues in the coming days and resolve them one by one. We value our veterans. Let no one doubt that our government is acting accordingly and will continue to work for our veterans.”
Also speaking during the visit, the President of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Veterans Association, Nusrettin Yüca, said, “I would like to thank our Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who took valuable time to meet with us, on behalf of myself and my friends. Just like the President of our motherland, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also gives the necessary value to our veterans. We thank him for the attention and respect we have received.”
