Tatar says TRNC is a part of the Turkic world

President Ersin Tatar emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is an integral part of the Turkic world and that relations will continue to strengthen in the coming period.

Tatar’s words came during a meeting with members of the European Union of Turkic Islamic Cultural Associations.

Speaking during the meeting, President Ersin Tatar highlighted the significance of such gatherings in fostering ties between the Turkish Cypriot people and their compatriots in Europe.

He noted that these meetings also play a crucial role in promoting the TRNC, enhancing its influence, and attracting investments.

Speaking at the meeting, the association’s president, İmam Cengiz, stated that their visit aimed to strengthen emotional ties with the TRNC, introduce the younger generations in Europe to the Turkish Cypriot struggle, and promote cultural awareness among their members.

President Tatar underscored the Turkish Cypriot people’s ongoing struggle to preserve their cultural and national identity.

He reiterated that Turkish citizens, regardless of where they live, remain closely connected to the TRNC and that transferring their successes in the European Union to the TRNC is of great importance.

Tatar reaffirmed the TRNC’s place within the Turkic world and expressed confidence that relations would continue to expand. At the end of the meeting, association president İmam Cengiz presented books from the organization to President Tatar.
