The National Unity Party (UBP) General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu evaluated his meetings during his visit to Bern, the capital of Switzerland.

“We will continue to make our voices heard on every platform to make our state more visible on the international stage,” said Hasipoğlu.

Issuing a written statement the National Unity Party General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu evaluated his meetings in Switzerland by stating that they held discussions in Bern as guests of the Swiss government and the Dialogue Forum.

“We met with the President of the Swiss Parliament Dominique Bühler and observed the general assembly sessions. After the general assembly meetings, we had the opportunity to meet with members of parliament” said Hasipoğlu.

He also noted that they met with Switzerland’s Minister of Economy, Energy and Environment Christoph Ammann, the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s Cyprus Desk MP Laurent Wehrli and the Head of the International Relations Department, Ambassador Claudio Fischer.

During these meetings, they provided information about the Turkish Cypriot position on sovereign equality and equal international status.

Hasipoğlu reiterated that they will continue to make the voices of the Turkish Cypriots heard on every platform and to make the state more visible on the international stage.
