
The Bayrak Radio Television Corporation Employees’ Union (Bay-Sen) held its 23rd General Assembly on Thursday, electing a new president, executive board, disciplinary committee, and audit committee.
Salih Sakallı was elected as the new president, with the executive board consisting of Gürcan Yüzüak, Talmaç Başkaya, Işık Gökman, Ahmet Ogan, Işıl Çavuşoğlu, Hasan Altınmakas, Bora Dede, Ruzin Görçin, and Ali Balbaz.

Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) Board Chairman Özdemir Tokel congratulated all candidates and union members for their contributions to democratic participation. He extended his best wishes to Sakallı and the newly elected board members, including those in the disciplinary and audit committees.
Tokel also expressed gratitude to outgoing president İbrahim Kanat and the previous board for their service.
He reaffirmed BRTK’s commitment to maintaining workplace harmony and protecting employees’ rights through continued collaboration between management, staff, and the union.

BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt Çavuşoğlu also issued a message, emphasizing the vital role of unions in representing labour rights and solidarity.
She congratulated Sakallı and the new leadership team, wishing them success in their responsibilities. Thanking the outgoing board for their contributions, she expressed confidence that the new administration would work towards strengthening employee rights and fostering a fairer working environment.
