The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) will hold its 29th Ordinary Congress on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Atatürk Sports Hall.

The congress, organized under the theme “A New President, A New Government,” will also see the announcement of CTP’s presidential candidate.

Preparing for the congress with the motto “This Country, This People Will See Better Days,” the main opposition Republican Turkish Party will host an election on April 6 for the 75-member Party Assembly, where 128 candidates are competing.

The sole candidate for the party leadership is the incumbent leader, Tufan Erhürman.

The congress will begin at 9:30 AM and will include elections for the positions of party leader, the High Disciplinary Board, and the Party Assembly. CTP will hold the event under the slogan “We Exist, There Is a Solution.”

According to the party’s statement, five candidates have applied for the High Disciplinary Board: Ezer Özsoy, Fatma Ekenoğlu, Halil Onbaşı, İlker Işınsu, and Sibel Sorakın.

The list of 128 Party Assembly candidates has also been shared in alphabetical order.
