
Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu said that Turkic unity is a unity that should be realized not only in political terms, but also in cultural, social and every aspect of life.
Making a statement while receiving the guest delegation visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) within the scope of the “Turkic World Nowruz Festival” event, Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that the unity of the Turkic world is rooted in deep historical foundations.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, welcomed a delegation visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the “Turkic World Nowruz Festival.”
The delegation, headed by the President of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Group Association Orhan Hasanoğlu, included Prof. Dr. Aygün Attar, Member of the Security and Foreign Policies Council of the Presidency of Türkiye, Musa Guliyev, Member of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and artists from the Turkic world.
In his speech at the reception, Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu said that the unity of the Turkic world has historical roots and that they believe in Turkic unity.
Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that Turkic unity extends beyond politics to cultural, social, and all aspects of life. He stated, “The unity of the Turkic world is not just words but a union with historical roots. We deeply believe in this, and it is a pleasure to welcome our brothers and sisters here.”
President of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Group Association Orhan Hasanoğlu for his part gave information about the activities organized.
Also speaking during the visit, Prof. Dr. Aygün Attar expressed concern over the failure of international justice in Cyprus and Karabakh, referring to the Cyprus case as a shared responsibility.
Musa Guliyev highlighted the similarities between the struggles in Cyprus and Karabakh and offered his support to the Turkish Cypriot people.
The artists in the delegation performed a musical show for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff.
