Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova met with Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat in Türkiye.

Speaking during the visit Turkish Minister of Trade Bolat said, “Our technical teams continue to work on the modernization of customs automation systems and cooperation in the field of product safety.”

Finance Minister Özdemir Berova held a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.

Sharing a post via his social media account, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat pointed out that Türkiye, which stands by the Turkish Cypriots under all circumstances, attaches great importance to increasing bilateral trade volume with the TRNC and expanding areas of cooperation.

He stated that as the Ministry, they provide fair participation and procurement delegation support to TRNC companies.

Bolat stated that they continue to take joint steps in the modernization of customs, strengthening the technological infrastructure, establishing laboratories and cold storage facilities to carry out product safety inspections.

“In this context, while completing the delivery of x-ray devices to Gazimağusa Port, our technical teams continue to work on the modernization of customs automation systems and cooperation in the field of product safety” said Bolat.

He expressed the hope that their meeting with Berova will contribute to the strengthening and continuation of the relations between Türkiye and the TRNC.
