For over 20 years, the Kemal Saraçoğlu Foundation for Children with Leukemia and the Fight Against Cancer has been providing guidance and support to cancer patients aged 0-21 and their families.
Additionally, the foundation plays a crucial role in finding compatible donors for patients in need of transplants.
Servet Özeralp, Coordinator of the Foundation, stated that 101 donors from the TRNC have donated stem cells or bone marrow, offering a second chance at life to patients both locally and internationally.
Hüseyin Özün Yamaç, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Yunus Macit, a healthcare worker from Gazimağusa, shared their experiences as donors, emphasizing that being a donor is a profound humanitarian duty.
