Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu stated that the solution in Cyprus lied in the cooperation between the two neighbouring states on the island.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu met and held discussions with the delegation of the Anatolian Press Association, led by Mehmet Bora Zor.

While informing the delegation about the national Cyprus cause, Ertuğruloğlu stressed that accepting a solution based on a single sovereignty and a single international identity in Cyprus is out of the question.

“From now on, any partnership with the Greek Cypriots is no longer acceptable for us. The solution is the cooperation of two neighbouring states – this is the solution. What is lacking is an agreement on this” Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu said.

President of the Anatolian Press Association, Mehmet Bora Zor, also noted that they had always supported the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people.
