Fanatic Greek Cypriots caused trouble again on the 70th anniversary of the EOKA terror organization’s founding.

A fanatic group dressed in black gathered at the border area, throwing stones at civilians in Lefkoşa’s Yiğitler Burcu Park and hurling insults.

Fanatic Greek Cypriots once again caused unrest on the 70th anniversary of the start of EOKA’s first armed actions on April 1, 1955.

Around midday, a group of 15 fanatic Greek Cypriots dressed in black, who had participated in the anniversary celebrations of the EOKA terror organization, threw stones at civilians in Yiğitler Burcu Park, located near the border in Lefkoşa, from the territory of the Greek Cypriot Administration.

The group also insulted civilians and chanted slogans in support of the EOKA terror organization before fleeing the area.

Citizens in the area reacted strongly to the stone attack.

Following the incident, the authorities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) increased security measures at the border.
