A consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Ersin Tatar at the Presidency on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri.

During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding the upcoming visit of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Thursday April 10, the upcoming Teknofest event to be held under the auspices of the Presidency, and the current status of the nearly completed Presidential and Parliamentary complexes.

Making a statement on the issues, President Tatar voiced his delight that Teknofest, which is being organized for the first time in the TRNC, has generated such great excitement.

Tatar also noted that the Presidential and Parliamentary buildings are now at the stage of completion and ready for relocation.

He also extended his thanks to the T3 Foundation and Selçuk Bayraktar for their determination in bringing Teknofest to the country, as well as to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan—who gave the directives for the swift constructed of the Presidential and Parliamentary buildings and the Nation’s Garden—and to all the authorities and workers involved.

He also noted that construction of the Judiciary building is progressing rapidly.

Tatar also emphasized that associating the aforementioned preparatory meeting with certain recent developments reported by a few media outlets is purely fictional and has no basis in reality.

He underlined that executive authority lies with the government and expressed his belief that the most appropriate decisions will be made by the Council of Ministers.
