The 10th Serdarlı Sestaları Spring Festival was realized on Sunday.
The event, which welcomed the arrival of spring, also featured handmade crafts and artisan products.
All hand made goods were on sale at the festival, supporting the local economy.
The 10th Serdarlı Sestaları Spring Festival was realized on Sunday and locals and tourists all flocked to the area as the weather was perfect to take in the sites and enjoy some local food.
President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel were among those who attended the festival.
The event kicked off with a traditional folk dance performance.
Mayor of Geçitkale-Serdarlı Halil Kasım, stated that the municipality supports such events and will continue to do so in the future as well.
Highlighting the work they have done for women, Mayor Kasım emphasized that the municipality will always stand by and support women.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel noted that Serdarlı played a vital role in the struggle for existence and reminded that thanks to the strong support of the Republic of Türkiye, people in the country now live in freedom and peace.
He also underlined the importance of festivals for promoting the country and stated that the government places great value on such events.
Meanwhile, President Ersin Tatar who also attended the festival toured the festival grounds, visiting stands featuring traditional Cypriot handicrafts, local foods and various other displays.
He also chatted with citizens, watched dance performances held as part of the festival and enjoyed musical and poetry recitals.
