The 21st Extraordinary Congress of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) was held in Ankara.
At the congress, where Özgür Özel was the sole candidate for party leadership, he was re-elected as the Party’s Chairman.
The 21st Extraordinary Congress of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) took place at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Centre in Ankara’s Yenimahalle district, under the slogan “The Will Belongs to the Nation.”
Voting for the party leadership began at 12:30pm and concluded at 2:25pm.
After the vote count, Özgür Özel – the only candidate – was re-elected as CHP’s Chairman with 1,171 votes.
Out of 1,323 registered delegates, 1,276 participated in the vote.
Of the votes cast, 1,171 were deemed valid, while 105 were declared invalid.
