President Ersin Tatar has underlined that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) continues to make progress across various sectors, even as the two-state policy remains in effect.

Speaking during a meeting with Kemal Altuncuoğlu, President of the Cyprus Turkish Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, and his delegation, Tatar stressed the critical importance of Türkiye’s guarantorship and the continued presence of Turkish troops on the island as a deterrent force.

During the meeting of the Cyprus Turkish Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Kemal Altuncuoğlu provided updates on initiatives concerning tradespeople’s credit schemes and interest rates.

In response, President Tatar emphasized that providing loans to small business owners is a major objective, highlighting its significant role in the TRNC’s economic development.

President Tatar also addressed the Cyprus issue during his remarks, reiterating the TRNC’s commitment to the two-state model.

He stressed that many matters can be addressed through state-to-state cooperation and affirmed that the TRNC’s development continues steadily under this political framework.

Reiterating the value of peace, stability, and security, Tatar emphasized that the Turkish military’s presence and Türkiye’s role as a guarantor remain vital components of the island’s security architecture.
