
The 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum concluded yesterday, with President Ersin Tatar meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the final day.
In a statement following the meeting, President Tatar reflected on the significance of the sessions and discussions held during the forum, emphasizing that it provided a vital platform to present the just cause of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and to voice the injustices and human rights violations endured by the Turkish Cypriot people.
In a statement issued on the last day of the meeting, President Tatar congratulated Foreign Minister Fidan for organizing the forum under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which brought together world leaders, ministers, academics, and media representatives from across the globe.
He underlined that the Antalya Diplomacy Forum has emerged as a rising star in global diplomacy, serving as a successful platform promoting international understanding and cooperation.
Over the course of the forum, Tatar held valuable discussions with heads of state, ministers, and representatives of international organizations.
On the first day, he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
On the second day, he met with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, to discuss strengthening ties between the TRNC and the Turkic world.
President Tatar also held talks with Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), whom he invited to the opening of the new Presidential Complex in the TRNC on May 3, World Turkism Day.
He further met with Guinea’s Foreign Minister Morissanda Kouyaté to discuss bilateral relations and explored diplomatic developments with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, particularly the recent informal expanded Cyprus meeting held in Geneva by the UN Secretary-General.
Tatar concluded his visit by participating in the inauguration of Antalya Airport’s new domestic and international terminal, joining President Erdoğan and other senior officials in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
