Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri, paid a visit yesterday to the Cyprus TMT Fighters Association.

According to a statement from the association, the meeting took place at the Honour Hall of the General Headquarters and was attended by board members and local branch representatives.

During the visit, both Ambassador Başçeri and the association’s President Celal Bayar delivered speeches, underlining the importance of national unity and historical memory.

At the end of the meeting, Bayar presented Ambassador Başçeri with a copy of the Ortega Report, a historical UN document previously prepared on the Cyprus issue.
