The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has hosted an important tourism event and organisation.

The ACE OF MICE, also known as the “Oscars” of congress and seminar tourism was held at the Elexus Hotel and Convention Centre over the weekend.

The best of the congress and seminar tourism received their awards over the weekend at the Masters of Events ACE of M.I.C.E organised by Dream Projects.

The annual event held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, hosted by the Elexus Hotel and Convention Centre and supported by Turkish Airlines, Cyprus Royal Tourism and the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency brought together tourism operators, agents, professionals and firm representatives operating in the area of congress and seminar tourism.

Speaking at the event’s Gala, Dream Projects CEO Volkan Ataman drew attention to the importance of the M.I.C.E awards for the $13.8bn sector.

He also said that the event organised in the TRNC will help boost the country’s brand equity.

Also speaking at the event, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu thanked everyone who made the event possible.

He also expressed the view that the awards ceremony in the TRNC will help boost the country’s brand equity.

Ataoğlu said that the new airport terminal which will become operational soon and new flights to and from the TRNC will contribute to improving the country’s tourism potential.
