Acting President Zorlu Töre congratulated Azerbaijan on its Independence by issuing a message to mark the occasion.

In his message to mark the day Acting President Zorlu Töre wrote “Azerbaijan, together with Motherland Türkiye, has played an important role in the rise of the Turkic World in the diplomatic field. Thanks to the close interest of the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the Turkic States, I fully believe that the relations that started with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will further develop and yield concrete results in the future.”

He once again expressed his gratitude for the valuable contributions of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in assisting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in becoming an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States and the establishment of friendship groups between the Parliaments of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus-Türkiye-Azerbaijan.

He also expressed the hope that the Turkic World will become a greater power by integrating with other Turkic states.
