Acting President, Speaker of the Parliament Zorlu Töre received a delegation from the National Defence University’s Naval War College on Monday.
The 2nd year cadets from the National Defence University’s Naval War College are currently in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as part of their advanced maritime training.
The 2nd year cadets, three of whom are Turkish Cypriots arrived in the TRNC with the TCG İskenderun.
Speaking during the visit Acting President Töre highlighted the importance of strengthening Türkiye’s naval and naval forces in light of recent developments in the Blue Homeland.
Noting that Türkiye has the largest coastline in the Eastern Mediterranean, Töre stated that maritime activities in the region are extremely important.
