Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar, who held inspections at the 8th Main Jet Base Command in Diyarbakır, touched upon the developments in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean during his speech he delivered there.
Akar said that Greece made false accusations against Türkiye, such as expansionism and revisionist policies, in order to cover up its own mistakes.
“These are just things that have been put forward to confuse people in the international arena. The policy of the State of the Republic of Türkiye is very clear. We call it international law, self-defence, the rights of our own and our Cypriot brothers and sisters. They still insist on not seeing this. They want a maritime jurisdiction of 40 thousand square kilometres, they are arming the islands in violation of international agreements” he added.
“We continue our activities in a state of vigilance with great seriousness and sensitivity against all these. Just as we have not allowed any fait accompli so far, we will not allow it either. Wrong account returns from Ankara,” Akar stressed.
