The Albayrak Calligraphy Collection Exhibition, organized by Albayrak Group and supported by the Embassy of Türkiye in Lefkoşa and the Cyprus Foundations Administration, has opened at Bedesten.

Speaking at the opening, Mustafa Tümer, Director-General of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, emphasized the significance of showcasing the unique works of calligraphy and expressed hope that the exhibition would inspire greater interest in the art and encourage the training of new calligraphy masters.
Esad Sivri, Corporate Communications Coordinator of Albayrak Group, highlighted that the collection, now in its 11th year, continues to be displayed in Türkiye and worldwide. He stated that they had brought the finest pieces to the TRNC for art enthusiasts.

Also speaking, President Ersin Tatar extended his gratitude to Albayrak Group and all organizations involved in the exhibition. He underlined the historical significance of hosting such an event at Bedesten, a site that serves as a bridge between the past and the future, both visually and symbolically.
Touching on the Cyprus issue, Tatar reiterated that the Turkish Cypriot people have faced embargoes, restrictions, and obstacles for the past 61 years due to a decision made at the time.
He emphasized that the Turkish Cypriot community has young generations who will carry forward its cultural heritage, arts, and spiritual values, reaffirming that the goal is to further strengthen the TRNC.
The exhibition at Bedesten will remain open to visitors until March 31.
