An ambulance helicopter crashed into a hospital in Türkiye’s southwestern Muğla province, killing four people.
Two pilots, one doctor and one health care worker lost their lives as the helicopter crashed into the Training and Research Hospital building in Mugla’s Menteşe district.
State and government officials from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have issued messages of condolences to the Turkish nation.
President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel all issued messages.
President Ersin Tatar expressed his deep sadness over the deaths in a post via his social media account.
In his message, Tatar expressed his condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in the helicopter crash in Muğla.
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler in his message wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives and condolences to their families.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also expressed his sadness at the loss of lives in the helicopter crash in Muğla.
In a post via social media, Prime Minister Üstel wrote, “I send my condolences to the families and relatives of our martyrs and my condolences to the grieving families, relatives and the Turkish nation.”
On the other hand, the Foreign Press Association also posted a message of condolence and shared their sadness over the death of pilot Tamer Gönül, the brother of Foreign Press Association General Secretary Taner Gönül, in the helicopter crash in Muğla.
