A delegation from the Anamur Chamber of Commerce and Industry are carrying out a visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Within the framework of their visit the delegation was received by Minister of Interior Dursun Oğuz.

Minister of Interior Dursun Oğuz received the President of the Anamur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mehmet Tuna and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit Minister Oğuz emphasized the importance of Anamur for Cyprus and stated that a strong bond was established between Anamur and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with the Project of the Century which saw water from the Alaköprü Dam reaching the TRNC.

Noting that Anamur has shown serious development in agriculture, Oğuz said that the tourism potential is high in the Anamur region.

The President of Anamur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mehmet Tuna for his part stated that he had just taken office and that his first project was to realize the Ferry Pier in Anamur, which would make transportation to the TRNC easier.

Stating that he has special interest in the TRNC, Tuna invited Minister Oğuz to Anamur in order to facilitate the development of cooperation between the two countries.
