Atatürk Era April 23rd Children’s Day Photographs Exhibition was inaugurated by President Ersin Tatar in Girne on Tuesday.

Speaking during the opening of the exhibition, President Tatar emphasized the importance of raising children with Atatürk’s values.

The Atatürk Era April 23rd Children’s Day Photographs Exhibition organised by the Akkule Services Association was inaugurated by President Ersin Tatar.

The President of the Akkule Service Association Hülya Özüahmet and the curator of the exhibition Deniz Güngör who is also the owner of the Atatürk’s Era April 23rd Children’s Photographs and spouse of researcher and writer Eriş Ülger, gave information about the exhibition.

Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul for his part emphasized the importance of people living in peace and unity in the light of Atatürk’s principles.

Also delivering a speech at the event President Ersin Tatar emphasized the importance of raising children with Atatürk’s values.

Pointing out that the vision, national values, love for the homeland and leadership put forward by Atatürk on the road leading to the National Struggle, the War of Independence and the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye were inspiring and guiding the Turkish Cypriots, Tatar stated that with this inspiration, Turkish Cypriots are taking firm steps towards the future under the roof of their own independent state in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The President called on students to work hard and protect Atatürk’s values, their homeland, their flag, their Motherland and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The exhibition at the Girne Municipality Art Gallery is open to the public free of charge and can be visited between 9 am and 4 pm until April 25th.
