The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı said on Tuesday that the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş was unprecedented.

“The teams continue to work under difficult conditions and they are doing their best” Arıklı added.

In his evaluation to BRT, the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı said that the teams continued to work under difficult conditions throughout the night.

Noting that an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 should not be underestimated and can caused disaster, Arıklı noted that the intensity of this earthquake cannot be compared with the previous earthquakes.

“This earthquake is unprecedented in Türkiye’s history” he said and urged people to be prudent when making criticisms.

Arıklı also stated that they expect good news and added that everyone should be patient.

Noting that air and sea voyages are continuing uninterrupted, he said they were planning to launch additional voyages on Tuesday.

Minister Arıklı also stressed that they were doin all they could to assist in the efforts.
