The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı held a series of contacts in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.

As part of his visit to the country, Arıklı visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and attended a programme on Manas TV.

During his contacts, the TRNC Public Works and Transportation Minister stressed that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was part of the Turkish nation and a Turkic state in the Eastern Mediterranean.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, Minister Erhan Arıklı’s first visit was to the Kyrgz-Turkish Manas University’s World Botanic Garden, where he planted trees along with the university’s personnel, students, and Manas University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Türk, and Rector Advisors Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan, Prof. Dr. Serhat Burmaoğlu, and Prof. Dr. Olgun Çiçek.

Minister Arıklı who also attended a live programme on Manas TV said that the world was once again becoming divided among two poles.

“The world is reshaping, and it’s evolving back into a bipolar world. In one pole, there’s the West, in other words the US, the EU, and their allies, and on the other side, there’s Russia, led by China. Türkiye’s position in one of these two poles depends, to some extent, on the US. The US and the EU are doing everything in their power to distance Türkiye from the West and NATO, displaying a hostile attitude. The US Navy is currently operating in the Eastern Mediterranean, causing disturbances to our drilling ships. They are amassing troops in Dedeağaç. In Syria, they are preparing to establish a new state with the renamed PKK organization, the PYD. They’ve downed our Turkish UAVs, pushing us into new quests. This attitude is not new. In 1964, when an impolite letter from the US. President reached İnönü, İnönü said, ‘A new world will be established, and Türkiye will find its place in that world.’ We are experiencing those days now” said Arıklı.

Regarding a question on Turkic World and TRNC relations, Arıklı commented, “The Turkish Union is everyone’s dream, and it is also Atatürk’s legacy to us. But it’s not possible for it to happen immediately.”

Within this context, Arıklı emphasized the need to establish the Oğuz Union first, stating, “For this, we say ‘One Nation, Three States.’ As you know, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and the TRNC belong to the Oğuz tribe of the Turkish nation. Their unity is quite easy. That’s why for now, we say, ‘first the Oğuz Union, then the Turkish Union.’ But the generation after us will say ‘One Nation, Seven States.”
