Art exhibitions opened in Lefkoşa

President Ersin Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar have inaugrated the joint exhibition, “May hopes in Cyprus not be exhausted” prepared by Ersin Pastırmacıoğlu and Oktay Öksüzoğlu on Tuesday.

In a second event, they also opened the April Exhibition of the School of Fine Arts.

Speaking at the exhibition, President Ersin Tatar said that the works of art created by Ersin Pastırmacıoğlu and Oktay Öksüzoğlu carried great importance for the Turkish Cypriot people and their struggle for existence.

“I congratulate our artists who have been able to express the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people through the universal language of art, sharing it with the world,” he said.

Later President Ersin Tatar and First Lady Sibel Tatar inaugurated another exhibition, the Fine Arts April Exhibition made up of 50 works of art prepared by the Near University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Design for the Cyprus Modern Art Museum.

Speaking at the second event, President Ersin Tatar said that this was the 443rd exhibition he was opening at the Cyprus Modern Art Museum which had been established with the vision of the university’s founding Rector Suat Günsel.
